    Are your sterndrives compatible with diesel engines?

    Yes - our drives are used successfully behind 300 to 400 HP diesel engines including Yanmar, Steyr and Volvo. The one thing we can't help with is establishing the correct gear ratio for your engine and hull, and that matters: once a unit is mounted or filled with gear lube it can't be returned. Get the ratio confirmed by your boat or engine builder first.

    Can I fit a MerCruiser-style outdrive to my Volvo Penta engine?

    Not easily. You'd need to buy the transom assembly and drive from us, plus all the MerCruiser accessories that bolt to the engine - it's an engine-side conversion as much as a drive swap. It's doable, but budget for a long parts list beyond what we can supply. Call us at 813-925-7127 and we'll tell you what we can cover.

    Do you make lower units for Volvo Penta?

    Not at this time - Volvo lower units aren't something we currently produce, though we do carry some Volvo-related parts and trim components. Our product range does expand, so it's worth asking with your specific model at 813-925-7127 rather than assuming the answer is still the same.
