Aftermarket Hydrofoil Attachments

I was just stripping everything off my burnt drive so that I can install my new unit as soon as it arrives, and I was wondering whether the installation of my Hydrofoil on the cavitation plate of the lower unit will void my warranty.

I thought that I read once upon a time that Merc would void it if you intalled one.

It won't void the warranty, but we won't warranty the cavitation plate if it snaps off.
