I Lost reverse after 8 hrs. Help

I just installed a SE106 on my 1987 Searay 268 everything worked great until today the boat will not go into reverse and sometimes I need to go twards reverse to get into nuetral. Please e mail with any thing I can try before I pull it out of the water and after. The boat is not on a trailer and cost $400 to pull in and out.

The drive was ok for some reason the linkage needed to be adjusted.

I think your ignition cutout switch is bad.
