can't find nuetral

I have the 106 lowers installed on my drives. Since they have been on my boat I am unable to shift smoothly into neutral. When trying to shift to neutral I have to move the lever back and forth a little before it will engage neutral. I have had the cables replaced, the controls checked there is no problem with the controls. This started after these lower units were installed.
What can I do to correct this?

You need to double check the shift cable adjustment. Also check the cutout switch to be certain it is operating.
