Hose connection to Shift Bushing on lower unit

I recently installed a new SE116 full assembly onto my Bayliner Capri. One minor difficulty I have is that the connector on the hose from the transom to the shift bushing does not fit. The old connector on the hose, and the connector in the SE116 shift bushing, are different styles and sizes. Where can I obtain the correct hose fitting? What purpose does this line serve? [/code]

The hose is for the speedometer. Your boat has the older style connecter. To update it to the newer style you need to purchase 22-860382 from your local Mercury dealer.
