SE 106 Lube Oil Viscosity

What is the preferred lube oil viscosity for the lower unit. 80W-90W? I have Mercruiser in it right now, but there are a few different weights available.

We recommend Mercruiser High Performance hear lube. I don't believe they tell the weight of their gear lube.

Otherwise you can use any Marine gearlube with an 80/90 weight.

I recommand always LubriMatic SYNTHETIC gearlube with a viscosity of 80W90 for all my SEI sterndrives and also for Mercruiser, OMC ( except with electric gearshift ) and Volvo Penta.

The Mercruiser High Performance gearlube and LubriMatic SYNTHETIC gearlube, are the same......:)
