I have an Alpha One lower unit that makes a slight clicking noise when turning the prop (with engine off) in both directions when shifter is in neutral. It's kind of like a slight ratcheting noise. Is this normal?

I would guess that the shift adjustment is slightly off. The clutch ramps are bumping each other as you rotate the propshaft.

Should I worry if my lower unit makes those noises? I heard from somewhere else it is normal and shouldn't be concerned. You guys seem to know what you are doing so I would trust your answer. Thanks so much!!!

It can cause extra wear on the clutch. Email warranty@sterndrive.cc and request the shift cable adjustment document. You should only need a slight adjustment.
