I have a 2003 maxum merc cruiser 3.0 gen2 what unit do i need ?

You would need our 116 series. If you look on the port side of the upper gear housing you should be able to read the gear ratio. It should have the serial number followed by either 1.98R, 2.00R or 2.40R.
