View Full Version : Preferred lube type for break-in period?

In process of doing install on my new SE106.

For break in, is the merc hi-perf (synthetic) lube OK? I ask because I have experienced several engine remanufacturers who only wanted non-synthetic engine oils in motors during break-in periods. Please advise.

We recommend using the Mercury High Performance gear lube for break in and for all subsequent lube changes.
