Engine Overheating at Idle (SE106)

I purchased my SE106 upper/lower on 16-JUN-2005 from justin@sterndrive.cc. I'm having an overheating problem where engine temp goes to 180+ at idle and then back to 160 at 20mph. I need someone to call me tomorrow to discuss what's needed.

Can't find Serial # on lower or upper. Thanks.

You need to inspect the water pump impeller. If it is the original it is probably worn and not pumping efficiently.

With the upper and lower units separated you will find the serial numbers on plates in a cavity towards the rear of each unit.
