SE116 U-Joints have grease fittings

My old 1999 Mercruiser Alpha 1 Gen II drive had sealed U-joints on the shaft. The new SE116 has grease fittings on the U-Joints. How often do I need to pull the drive and grease these fittings?

It is recommended that you grease the u-joints once a year.
