Gear Ratio Change

I am looking to change from a 1.81 gear ratio to a 2.0 what effect would this have. I have a 23 foot deep v hull boat with a 7.4L. Thanks

The 7.4 litre engine should run either a 1.32/1 or 1.47/1 ratio, unless you are operating at an altitude above 3500 feet.
