break in period

just installed new se116 lower unit on my 30' sea ray. Break in instructions say run and build to 35oo rpm after 5 hours, Boat needs to run between 2700 and 3200 rpm to stay on plane is this a going to hurt? I ran a couple hours keeping drive between 1500 and 3000 rpm. Is this enough variation?

By the way runs great fit well and is real quite.

You should be fine. The most important thing is to vary the RPM's and not exceed 75 percent full throttle for the first 5 hours.
