Problem with lower unit

I purchased a SE116 lower unit in May of this year. I recently started having shifting problems and was continuoulsy running low on drive fluid. I had the boat pulled out today and discovered there was a hole on the left hand side and a small crack on the right hand side of the unit. I took some pictures but ther pictures are too large to upload to your site. THe other problem is I cannot find the reciept or purchase order but know that I purchase it through Macomb Marine Parts on May 22nd of this year. So how should we handle this?

Every warranty issue is addressed to solve the problem. We either repair or replace as the circumstance dictates.

Just to let all know that were asking. The lower unit was replaced in a timely manor. No problems at all.
