considering ordering a 106

I just tore up my upperbearings and more in my 20 year old alpha 1
305 v-8 motor
Is the SE106 better than the origional alpha, I've heard horror stories about the alpha with a V-8 motor
I'm also scared to get the alpha rebuilt
Whats the good word on the 106, I've read about noise and water pump issues

The SE106 is virtually identical to the original Aplha drive. Our units tend to be a little noisier initially due to the gears meshing in during the break in procedure. The units quiet down after break in. We have resolved our water pump issues. You should have no problem using our SE106 or rebuilding your drive for your 305 V8.
