drive assembly vs case prices??

Could someone point out if I am missing something, when I look at say an SE106 lower unit assemby part# 90-106-02 the price is $695, but if I look at the SE106 lower unit cases only part# 97-108-20 the price is listed at $954.95?? The same seems to be the same for the upper assembly is cheaper than just the upper case on it's own... the SE116 as well seem cheaper for whole assemblies vs cases... Am I overlooking something??
