anode bolt

ok things went well with everything except when I finished the lower unit installl, I forgot to install the anode bolt at teh beginning. Is there an option other than pulling the lower unit back off? What about a longer bolt?? :lol:

Well, the right way to do it would be to pull the lower unit off. I have seen them where people just drill the hole in the upper large enough to get the bolt in. On the newer Gen II style Alpha drive they come that way from the factory.

Yep, been there, done that. :lol:
I wound up getting a longer bolt and drilling the upper unit inspection hole large enough to accept it.
Works fine for my unit.
