Just received and installed my upper and lower unit this weekend.
I removed the old unit myself.
And, had my mechanic do the install.

BTW; This unit comes with gasket set.
Can't figure out why I needed to paid for a second set?

Mechanic said the drive bolts went on very tight.
Could not figure out why?

There is a slight low winding sound when in it is in gear at low rpm.
Doesn't seem to really be an issue.
It smooths out with slight acceleration.

Everything seems to run real fine.
I'm glad that I didn't pay the going price of a factory mercruiser unit.
It would have cost over twice the price.

The new unit runs fine and overall happy with the unit.

If you don't know what you are doing.
I would recommend having a certified mechanic do the install.
Well worth the money to know it is done correctly.

Thank you for the post. The drive itself does not come with the gasket set, the two different kits you purchased each come with the gasket set. 90-106-03K Complete Install Kit and 9A-108 Transom Seal Kit.
