GenI to GenII

I have an '89 Larson with twin 230's and Gen I outdrives. Can I replace the outdrives with Gen II's without too much hassle? And would this be considered an upgrade and worth the extra expense of Gen II's over Gen I's????

Putting a Gen II drive on would not be much of an upgrade. And it is also not a direct swap so I don't think it would be worth it for you.
