Gear oil

Installed new SEI drive,and about five or six weeks latter water pump failed due to impeller seperating from drive sleeve. New impeller installed, seems to be OK.
My question is do you recommed the after market drive oil moniter kit to be installed. My boat is in the water for seven months.

The oil monitor bottle is a good addition. It will allow you to catch any oil seal leaks before you cause any damage.
