moble 1 synthetic gear lube

Is it okay to use moble 1 synthetic gear lube 75w 90? I ask cause i can get this gear lube cheaper then the mercruiser brand

I would make sure whatever you use is designed for Marine use. A Marine gear lube should be designed to handle small amounts of water infiltration, where as a normal gear lube will not.
