Sterndrive Engineering of Oldsmar, Florida (SEI) has launched a new website to make shopping easier. The website can be viewed at www.shopSEI.net
Greg Pickren, President of SEI, said "Websites featuring easy to use shopping are more important than ever today, and we want to make sure our customers can find the products, technical support, and other information they need."
Justin Webb, General Manager of SEI, added "Our new shopping cart landing pages make it much more intuitive to find the right product for the application."
Julie Wood, sales manager for SEI, said "We listened to our customers feed back and made improvements. She also added, "Of course we are still available by phone for application assistance and ordering at 813-925-7127"
SEI has been manufacturing aftermarket sterndrives for 6 years, and just recently launched a new line of Outboard Lower Units for V6 applications.

Subject: SEI announces new products
Sterndrive Engineering of Oldsmar, Florida (SEI) announced today that it is offering brand new Replacement Outboard Lower Units for the big 3 OEM V6 Outboards.
Greg Pickren, President of SEI, said "We are proud to be able to offer these new Outboard Lower Units. Our customers have been asking for them for quite sometime, so we felt there would be enough demand to warrant the large investment required to manufacture and test the new products.”
Justin Webb, General Manager of SEI, added "The Outboard Lower units will of course have our industry leading 3 year fault free warranty, the same as our sterndrives.”
Julie Wood, sales manager for SEI also added, “With the struggling economy, it is nice to be able to help the consumers with a cost effective product in these tough economic times.”
The company has also created a new name and logo (SEI) based on the abbreviated Sterndrive Engineering, Inc. and to go with it, has created a new website located at www.shopsei.net

Subject: Sterndrive Engineering Adopts Three Year Fault-free Warranty
Clearwater, Florida — Sterndrive Engineering Inc. (SEI) announced today that the warranty on its sterndrives has been changed from a one-year limited warranty to a three-year fault-free warranty. "We believe this new warranty is the best in the sterndrive industry" said Greg Pickren, President of SEI. "Nobody that we know of offers a three-year fault-free warranty on sterndrives," he added. "After selling tens of thousands of these drives over the past three years and doing extensive testing at our research facility, we are very confident in the product. It's only natural at this point to extend our warranty," stated Justin Webb, SEI's General Manager. "Our drives have always been the most economical. Now they also have a great warranty," added Ericka Kegg, SEI's Sales Manager. The three-year fault-free warranty covers any damage to the drive that requires it to be repaired or replaced including failures resulting from lack of oil, fishing line, impact, neglect and other abuse.

Sterndrive Engineering (SEI) of Clearwater, Florida announced today that it is offering the brand new complete sterndrive named the SE116 for $1,395 retail. Separately, lower halves retail at $795 and upper halves for $695.
Greg Pickren, President of Sterndrive Engineering, said "This was the next logical step for our business. With our SE106 and SE116 products we are able to offer replacement drives for the majority of the sterndrive market.”

Sterndrive Engineering published it's SE106 install guide today on its website www.sterndrive.cc. The URL address for the guide is

"This guide was written with the do-it-yourselfer in mind," said Justin Webb of Sterndrive Engineering, Inc. "The illustrated guide provides a step-by-step set of instructions that makes the installation process easy for a first-time installer." The boat used for the installation guide was a 20 foot 1987 Checkmate with a 260 MerCruiser®. This is the same boat that consumed over $40,000 of gasoline during the testing SE106 drives in 2003.

Subject: Sterndrive Engineering States its Mission
Sterndrive Engineering stated its mission today to reshape the sterndrive industry by making owning, operating, and maintaining a sterndrive more affordable.
Sterndrive Engineering is wholly owned by Greg Pickren of Clearwater, Florida. Mr. Pickren owns several companies including SBT which is the largest supplier of remanufactured PWC engines and aftermarket parts in the world (see SBTontheWeb.com). “The full resources of SBT were utilized in engineering, designing and testing Sterndrive Engineering’s new replacement drives,” stated Mr. Pickren. “We know this product works because we have been testing it for over a year at our lake.”
Justin Webb, formerly of Konrad, was instrumental in creating the company. Mr. Webb’s experience includes assembling drives for GLM and over 10 years of experience in the Sterndrive Industry. “This is a product that the market has demanded for a number of years,” says Webb. “Our ability to offer an extremely economical drive to the installer, whether a dealer or a do-it-yourselfer, is the result of the elimination of several layers of distribution. Historically, marine parts have been handled sequentially by trading companies, manufacturer reps, private labelers and distributors resulting in multiple mark-ups and high end-user prices. Sterndrive Engineering (SEI) of Clearwater, Florida announced today that it is offering the brand new complete sterndrive named the SE106 for $1,195 retail. The SE106 is a replacement drive for the Alpha One® sterndrive. Separately, lower halves retail at $695 and upper halves for $595.
